灰狼幼崽

The detail about wolves being ice age survivors dating back 300,000 years really stuck with me, way more interesting than the usual generic animal facts. I've read it aloud twice already just because the ancestor-of-dogs angle is such a good conversation starter.

My kids keep asking how a toy that’s supposedly 300,000 years old can look so lifelike, and honestly, the sculpt of the muzzle and paws is incredibly detailed for the price.

The detailing on the fur is what caught my eye first — you can actually see the layered texture instead of it just being a smooth lump. I've got it sitting next to my dog's photo and it's a nice little nod to the whole ancestor thing.
