It’s fascinating to watch the whole process play out—the bird really does swallow everything in one go, and the pellet appears like clockwork about a day later. I’ve been using it as a teaching tool for my kids, and they’re genuinely captivated by the natural cycle.

I was amazed at how quickly the pellet came back up after feeding—about 18 hours, which was right in the window described. The whole swallowing process is surprisingly clean and efficient for such a large bird.

Absolutely fascinating to watch how they eat — the way they swallow prey whole and then later cough up those neat little pellets is surprisingly mesmerizing. Set up a camera overnight and caught the regurgitation sequence on the first try.
