黑柴犬

I had no idea Shibas were originally bred to flush birds and small game, that history bit in the description totally sold me. The part about them being one of Japan's six native breeds alongside the Akita made me appreciate the lineage even more.

The detail about Shiba Inus being one of Japan's six native breeds is exactly what I was hoping to see—it gives the product real authenticity. The compact size and alert expression in the design capture the breed's hunting heritage nicely.

I'd only had Akitas before, so the smaller size of this breed took some adjusting, but the boar-hunting heritage really shows in how bold he is on our hikes. He flushes everything out of the brush and trots back like it's nothing.
