美洲紅鸛

I was surprised by how much detail is packed into this—the description of their social behavior in the wild makes it feel like I’m learning something new every time I glance at it. The size comparison to other flamingo species really helps visualize them.

This bird’s vibrant pink feathers are even more striking in person, and the detail on its long, curved beak is incredible. It’s already the centerpiece of my shelf, and it actually makes me smile every time I walk by.

My neighbors asked about all the noise coming from my yard, but I told them it's just my new flock settling in. The social behavior is exactly what I hoped for, and they really do thrive when kept in a group.
