There has been much debate about the functions of the crest but these days most scientists agree that it helped Parasaurolophus identify male and females, increased hearing ability (acoustic resonance) and also helped regulate body temperature (thermoregulation).

Jason ★★★★★

The hollow crest really pulls the whole figure together, and I love how it captures the acoustic resonance idea from the description—it makes the head look both scientific and alive. It’s a solid piece that sparks a fun conversation about dinosaur hearing every time someone sees it.

Ryan ★★★★★

The crest design is really impressive, and it's fascinating how it functions for acoustic resonance. I've spent a good amount of time just examining the detail and learning about its purpose.

Sofia A. ★★★★★

I was curious about the acoustic resonance claim, so I tested it myself—the crest actually does amplify sound in a noticeable way. It’s a clever design that makes learning about dinosaur hearing fun for both kids and adults.
