Lemurs are one of the few animals that live in a matriarchal society, which means that the female lemurs have more control over the group than the male lemurs. These lemur groups however, behave in a very similar way to other primates as they feed and groom each other, as well as sleeping close to one another. It is not known why lemurs exhibit this rare form of social structure.

Charlotte ★★★★★

The description of their social structure is spot on—I've already learned so much just from reading the product info. This is such a unique and thoughtful item that sparks real conversation.

Natalie ★★★★★

I was curious about the matriarchal society detail mentioned in the description, and it’s neat to have a little reminder of that while looking at the baby lemur clinging to its parent. The tiny hands are sculpted with surprising detail, making it feel more lifelike than I expected.

Michael B. ★★★★☆

The little lemur figure has a nice weight to it, and the baby clinging to its back is such a cute detail. I just wish the description had included the exact size before I bought it.
