$12.06 $19.45 In stock

The humpback whales spend the summer months in the colder, polar waters and then the humpback whales migrate south in the winter to the warmer tropical waters where the humpback whales live off their fat reserves until they migrate north again in the summer. The average humpback whale can travel to around 25,000 km every year when the humpback whale migrates between the north and the south.

The migration path on this model is so clearly illustrated, you can actually trace the whales' journey from polar to tropical waters. My kids spent a whole afternoon following the route with their fingers.

Timothy ★★★★★

I was blown away by how detailed the cold-water feeding behavior section is, it really brought the summer migration to life. The photos of the tropical calving grounds are stunning and made me feel like I was right there.

Zoe ★★★★★

Watching them glide through the colder waters in summer and then following their migration south feels like having a front-row seat to nature's rhythm. The way the description captures that seasonal journey makes it easy to picture the whole cycle.
