Like others of their kind, sable antelope have a social structure based on territory, age, and strength. The strongest adult males, called bulls, set up territories in good grazing areas. They constantly patrol, encouraging females to enter and challenging other males. A challenge begins with circling each other, pawing the ground and lashing tails. It ends when the bulls drop to their knees and lock horns. From there it's a pushing contest, and the strongest antelope wins.

Lucy ★★★★★

I was curious about the social structure of these animals, and the description of how bulls set up territories based on grazing areas is fascinating—exactly what I wanted to learn. It's clear and informative without being too dry.

Edward ★★★★★

The territory dynamics described in the info are spot-on—my bull antelope has already claimed a prime grazing spot in the enclosure. The social hierarchy plays out exactly as promised, with younger males deferring to him.

Kevin ★★★★★

Finally got this delivered and I'm impressed by the detail on the antelope's horns — they really capture that distinct ridged texture. The description about the bulls setting up territories adds a nice bit of realism to the whole piece.
