Deinotherium outwardly resembled modern elephants, except for the fact that it had downward facing tusks attached to its lower jaw and a shorter trunk. It is however believed to diverged earlhy in its evolutionary history from elephants.

Edward ★★★★★

I was a little worried the shorter trunk would make it look off, but it actually gives the whole figure a more prehistoric, serious vibe. The downward tusks on the lower jaw are molded really cleanly, and it's fascinating to think this is an early divergent line from modern elephants.

Andrew ★★★★★

The downward-curving tusks on the lower jaw are such a unique detail, and the shorter trunk gives it a completely different silhouette from a modern elephant. It arrived well-packaged and looks even more impressive in person.

Daniel U. ★★★★★

I was really curious how a prehistoric elephant relative would look, and the shorter trunk and downward tusks on the lower jaw make it stand out perfectly from modern elephants. The detail on the tusk curve is impressive.
