Wattles are those little tufts of hair that covers the skin that dangles from the throat of some goats. Wattles serve no function and are thought to be remnants of gill slits that mammals shared somewhere back down the evolutionary tree.

Sofia ★★★★★

These little wattles are surprisingly soft and have a neat, subtle texture up close. They’re the perfect quirky addition to any goat display or craft project. Really happy with how unique they look.

Elizabeth ★★★★★

I wasn't sure what to expect from a goat with wattles, but the soft, dangling tufts are surprisingly fun to look at—they really add character. The wattle texture is smooth and hair-covered, just like the description said.

David I. ★★★★★

The wattles have such a unique texture—soft and almost velvety, just like the description said. I’ve been fascinated watching how they dangle and move as my goat grazes, and they’re a great conversation starter with visitors. Really glad I chose this breed for its quirky charm.
