니시키고이 - 시로우츠리

The black-and-white pattern is so crisp it looks like it was dipped in ink, and the hand-painted details really stand out under direct light. I picked it up mainly for teaching kids about koi varieties, but it’s honestly too nice to leave on a desk—it’s earned a spot on the shelf.

The hand-painting on this Shiro Utsuri is incredibly precise—each scale seems to have its own tiny brushstroke. It’s detailed enough that I’ve been using it to study koi markings for my pond design. Definitely a step up from the mass-produced models I’ve seen.

The hand-painted detail on this Shiro Utsuri is stunning—the black-and-white pattern looks almost alive under my desk lamp. It’s delicate enough for a shelf display but solid enough to hold up as a teaching model, and I keep catching myself staring at the fins.
