柴犬

This little guy's hunting instincts are no joke—he spotted a squirrel on our first walk and was completely locked in, which is exactly what I wanted from a breed with that kind of history. The independent streak is real, but it makes his affectionate moments feel like a genuine reward.

Took my Shiba on a hike through some brushy trails, and his hunting instincts kicked in beautifully as he flushed out a few quail. The breed’s compact size and agility made it easy for him to navigate the dense undergrowth without getting tangled. Really impressed with how well he handled the terrai

After years of owning more stubborn breeds, I love how my Shiba keeps the house clean with that fastidious cat-like grooming habit. The way he flushes birds during our hikes shows he's still got that sharp hunting instinct from his Japanese origins.
