Gli asini hanno la reputazione di essere testardi, ma ciò è dovuto al loro senso di autoconservazione molto sviluppato. È difficile costringere o spaventare un asino a fare qualcosa che considera contrario al proprio interesse o alla propria sicurezza.

Timothy ★★★★★

I was worried he'd be stubborn about leading, but once he understood I wasn't going to hurt him he followed along calmly. That strong self-preservation instinct is real, and honestly it's what I appreciate most now.

Mia ★★★★★

Took him three days to finally trust me enough to lead him anywhere, but once he did, that caution paid off — he won't spook at anything, and I've never felt safer on the trail. The "self preservation" isn't stubbornness, it's just him being smart about what's worth his time.

Edward N. ★★★★★

The self-preservation thing is real — mine calmly refuses to step onto ground he's unsure of, and honestly he's been right every time. Not stubborn at all, just smart about his own safety.
