Lama Baby

I had no idea an overloaded llama would just lie down and refuse to move, and the bit about spitting and hissing when they've had enough genuinely made me laugh. It's a short read but the animal behavior facts stuck with me for days.

The bit about an overloaded llama just refusing to move is weirdly accurate—my toddler does the exact same thing when I try to carry him and the groceries at once. I didn't expect the spitting and hissing detail to get a laugh out of my older kid, but here we are reading it every night.

My kid loves the part where the llama lies down and refuses to move when it's overloaded — we act out the spitting and hissing every night. It's a fun way to teach that even pack animals have limits.
