The way its white bonnet stands out against the dark rocks is exactly what I was hoping for. Such a clean, realistic look for a sub-Antarctic display piece.

The coloring is even more striking in person, with the bright orange beak and feet really standing out against the dark back. I've been watching this one waddle around the rocky enclosure and it's exactly as described—a medium-sized penguin with that unmistakable white bonnet marking.

The white "bonnet" marking on these gentoo penguins is even more striking in person, contrasting perfectly with their dark heads. I love watching them waddle along the rocky shorelines, they seem so full of character.
