ببغاء البادجي الأزرق

The little guy's chatter fills the whole room now, way more personality than I expected from something so small. Turns out "budgie" is the right term for this one, not parakeet, and the info page cleared that up for me. Healthy, active, and eating well since day one.

I'd been calling mine a parakeet for years until I read that budgie is the right term for the common pet bird and parakeet is the broader group of small parrots. Nice to finally have that cleared up, and the bird itself is a cheerful, chatty little thing.

The little guy is way more active than I expected, chirping and hopping around his cage all morning. Knowing a budgie is actually a small parrot makes sense now, since he picks things up fast.
